Dreger: Kings unlikely to be busy before trade deadline

Darren Dreger was on NHL Network’s NHL Tonight on Monday evening.

On if he expects the Kings to be busy between now and the start of March:

“I’d be surprised if Dean Lombardi and the Los Angeles Kings were busy between now and the March 2 trade deadline, simply because Lombardi doesn’t have any cap space, and there’s the uncertainty of the Voynov situation - what’s going to happen there. If he had space in light of the Voynov situation, perhaps he’d be in the market for a top-4 defenseman. But he doesn’t have the luxury of either.

"So he’s got to focus primarily on the short term of getting healthy again and looking for a bit more consistency out of all aspects of the Los Angeles Kings’ game, including the goaltending of Jonathan Quick.”
