Cheveldayoff: "Too premature" for Jets to engage Burmistrov on NHL return

Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff was on Winnipeg’s TSN 1290 on Monday afternoon.

On when he would engage Alex Burmistrov in a conversation about returning to North America, if Cheveldayoff were going to do so:

“The good thing is that all these agents have other clients that we deal with on other things. So we have lots of different conversations with respect to clients that are currently playing and clients they represent from a different perspective.

“So again, there’s always conversations that might have little bits of information here and there. But as far as engaging anything like that, it’s probably too premature to be discussing that at this point.”
