Dreger: Hall more likely to remain with Oilers than Kessel with Leafs

Darren Dreger was on Toronto’s TSN 1050 on Friday evening.

On when September rolls around if Phil Kessel will be a Maple Leaf and if Taylor Hall will be an Oiler:

“Wow. Those are big questions. I’m not as sure on Phil Kessel being a Toronto Maple Leaf as I am on Taylor Hall being an Edmonton Oiler. I think that enough good has happened around that organization of late that it’d be somewhat foolhardy to throw Taylor Hall out there from a trade perspective.

“Unless – you always have to qualify by saying, ‘What if somebody makes a deal you can’t refuse?’ You could say that about any player.

"But I do see Taylor Hall more important to the Edmonton Oilers’ long-term future than Kessel to the Leafs’.”
