Guerin: "Nobody wears that crest more proud" than MacTavish, Lowe
/Pittsburgh Penguins AGM Bill Guerin was on Edmonton’s 630 CHED on Wednesday afternoon.
On his thoughts on the challenges Edmonton has in rebuilding and trying to get the organization back to where they once were:
“Well, you know what? It’s never easy. It’s never just, ‘Hire one coach and things are fixed.’
“It takes time. But from the outside looking in, they have great players. They have great players. And they have a good coach... When people talk about him, it’s all good. It’s all good stuff. So I really think they’re headed in the right direction.
“And bottom line too: Craig MacTavish and Kevin Lowe – nobody loves the Oilers more than those guys. Nobody wears that crest more proud than those two guys.
“So I’m pretty confident they’ll get this thing turned around because of the people that they have in place here.”
