McKenzie: Jagr wants chance to play in playoffs
/Bob McKenzie was on NBCSN’s NHL Live on Wednesday evening.
On where Jaromir Jagr may be headed next:
“Ultimately that’s Lou Lamoriello’s call, the general manager of the New Jersey Devils. But the Devils are not going to make the playoffs. Jagr himself wants to play for a team that has a chance to play in the post-season. He’s 43 years old, says he wants to play until he’s 50. And he could still help somebody. He’d prefer to play in the Eastern Conference. He hasn’t gone to Lou Lamoriello and demanded or requested – I don’t think anybody demands a trade from Lou Lamoriello – but request a trade from Lou Lamoriello. But at some point I suspect that would probably happen. He wants to relocate. He wants a chance to play in the post-season.”
