Dreger: Islanders "may do nothing at all" by trade deadline

Darren Dreger was on NHL Network’s NHL Tonight on Thursday evening.

On how the New York Islanders are as close as they’ve been in years to going to the Stanley Cup Final, so they must be busy:

“Well, they’re not really. They’re busy winning, is what they’re doing. Perhaps still surprising people. I’m not in that category, by the way. You know what? Garth Snow and the Islanders may do very little. They may do nothing at all, in fact, because Snow got his wheeling and dealing out of the way very early in acquiring Johnny Boychuk and Nick Leddy. Those are two significant adds, and he did it at the right time. Again, bringing this group together. I don’t think we should be surprised anymore, the play of the New York Islanders.

“Now, in saying all of that, injury changes everything. So knock on wood if you’re an Islanders fan. If they stay healthy, I think that Garth Snow doesn’t do a whole lot.”
