Friedman: Will Islanders be active by trade deadline?

Elliotte Friedman was on Calgary’s Sportsnet 960 on Monday morning.

As part of a larger discussion on the Islanders:

“They’re going to be fascinating to me. Garth Snow never tips his hand. He doesn’t give away what he’s thinking. But he’s got so many good young players. Does he keep them all, or does he go out and say, Okay, we’re going to try and add something else.’

“Because those Eastern Conference playoffs are going to be totally unpredictable, and why not them as much as anybody else? I think they’re definitely in the conversation, even though they laid an egg in Montreal on Saturday night.”
