MacTavish: "Zero discussions" on trading Eberle or Ference
/Edmonton Oilers GM Craig MacTavish was on Sportsnet on Monday afternoon.
On Twitter reports concerning potential trades involving Jordan Eberle or Andrew Ference:
“Well, it’s not news to me that there are the odd wild rumour that get out there on Twitter. Who knows what the origin of some of these rumours are, but I can say that I had zero discussions, nor did I have zero interest in discussing any deal with Jordan Eberle.
“He’s a huge part of our future moving forward. Playing very well. Showing signs of being the leader and the player that we need going into the future, along with Hopkins and Schultz. Taylor’s been sorely missed.
“As for our captain, Andrew, there was zero conversations – nor did I have any interest in dealing Andrew.”
