Friedman: "No substantial negotiations" between Leafs and Bernier, Kadri, Franson

Elliotte Friedman was on Edmonton’s 630 CHED on Friday afternoon.

As part of a much larger discussion on the state of the Leafs:

“I think what’s also really interesting is they’ve got some pretty big decisions to make in terms of free agency. Whether it’s the unrestricted guys like Franson, or the restricted guys who are getting close to unrestricted like Bernier and Kadri, and there is not a lot of conversation going on right now.

“When I checked earlier this week, I was told no substantial negotiations with any of them. So that says to me that they haven’t made up their minds on some of their other guys who don’t have term yet heading forward toward the end of the season.”
