Dreger: "Blues are a pretty hungry team to add another offensive piece"
/Darren Dreger was on Edmonton’s TSN 1260 on Tuesday morning.
On if the Anaheim Ducks will start making some serious offers to replace what they thought they’d have in Dany Heatley:
“Yeah, I mean Bob Murray doesn’t sit quiet. He’s a guy that analyzes his roster, like all managers do, but he’s not afraid to pull the trigger. So again, if he doesn’t have that fit internally, be it in the American League or on his roster, then absolutely he’s going to go chase it.
“And you don’t have to look too far throughout the Western Conference to see other teams that are going to do the same. I know the St. Louis Blues are a pretty hungry team to add another offensive piece. Berglund’s name is out there. It’s been out there a long time as potential trade bait. So I’m sure that Doug Armstrong is going to have some work to do as well.
“Those good contending teams know that to get by the likes of the Los Angeles Kings, or the Chicago Blackhawks, or the powerful teams in the East – you can’t have any holes. But you also have to be patient and wait for the right fit, both financially and the right players to surface.”
