LeBrun: Red Wings, Lightning "have thought about Petry"

Pierre LeBrun was on Edmonton’s TSN 1260 on Monday afternoon.

On what the Oilers might be looking for in exchange for Jeff Petry:

"I think it depends on the team that he’s dealing with. I think it’s dangerous to just put a blanket thing out there. But I think odds are a second round pick and a prospect, or a second round pick and a young player, would be the ultimate catch here for Petry. If he can get it. I’m not sure whether he can or not. But that would be the ballpark.

“When you look at the teams I know have thought about Petry – again, when I say this, they’ve also thought about five other defencemen,  – but Detroit, Tampa Bay certainly on the list. A number of other teams. They’ve looked at him. They’ve also looked at other guys.

“And I think, again, it just seems like when I talk to buyers that no one’s happy with the price now. So we might have to wait here a bit longer.”
