LeBrun: Keep an eye on Predators, Ducks on trade front

Pierre LeBrun was on Edmonton’s TSN 1260 on Monday afternoon.

On which of the upper-echelon teams might be ready to tweak its roster via trade:

“I would keep an eye on Nashville. I think that the Predators are eying a top-6 forward and I think David Poile has shown in the past that when he thinks his team has a chance, he will be aggressive. You may recall the Peter Forsberg trade years ago when he thought the Predators had a shot... Brought Radulov back from Russia. Obviously backfired, but he has a history of going for it when he smells an opportunity. And his team has been terrific this year. Obviously we’ll see here over the next couple of weeks how they do without Pekka Rinne, but I think the Predators would like to bolster their team.

“I think Anaheim is always a team to keep an eye on. Bob Murray is very aggressive. The Ducks really want to get over the playoff hump this year, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he had another move up his sleeve here before March 2 for sure.”
