Sabres' Murray shares opinions on Grigorenko, Armia
/Noteworthy comments from Buffalo Sabres GM Tim Murray on organizational prospects Mikhail Grigorenko and Joel Armia, via The Democrat & Chronicle.
On Grigorenko:
"I've got an open mind on him," Murray said. "I think next year is when he shows us what he is: a top prospect, a good prospect or a middle prospect."
On Armia:
"He was outstanding," Murray said. "He's everything I heard he wasn't. He's not a shrinking violet, he's not a lazy player. He's the opposite."
Armia's inconsistency "was nothing out of the ordinary. "I thought he showed flashes of top-end talent."
Murray also draws comparisons on maturation and developmental comparisons between Armia and Mika Zibanejad of the Senators, the latter of whom Murray is quite familiar from his time in Ottawa.
