Anderson's positive spin on Luongo not starting Classic

There was just a wee bit of a firestorm surrounding Vancouver Canucks coach John Tortorella's decision to start Eddie Lack in Sunday's Heritage Classic game at BC Place against the Ottawa Senators.

Sens goaltender Craig Anderson, who, The Ottawa Sun reminds readers, skates with Luongo in Florida in the off-season, tried to put a positive spin on it for Luongo.

"It's another game. That's how you have to look at it," said Anderson. "Yeah, the venue is different, the experience is different but at the same time Luongo can take a different look at it and enjoy the experience a little bit more rather than getting mentally ready and focused for the game. It may be better for him. If I weren't playing, that's how I would approach it as a great experience that I get to enjoy rather than being all tense and mentally psyched up for it."
