Zibanejad sees value in versatility

The Ottawa Citizen points out how a number of talented centres accepted played a wing role for Team Canada and came home with a gold medal, which hasn't been lost on young Senators forward Mika Zibanejad.

Zibanejad has played both roles for the Sens and is now in a centre role with Mike Hoffman and Bobby Ryan flanking him.

Coach Paul MacLean: “It was proven in the tournament we just watched last week that there were an awful lot of centremen playing on the wing, and it turned into a pretty good opportunity for some of them.”

Zibanejad: “Anyone I play with is a good player and wherever I play, it’s just a chance to get better at that position. It’s more natural for me to play centre, but when the situation is like it is, wherever the team needs me to play, I will do it.”
