Ovechkin could learn from Hossa
/The Edmonton Journal passes along that longtime NHL assistant Perry Pearn, who was with the Ottawa Senators at the same time as Marian Hossa, observes an element of Hossa's game from which Washington Capitals sniper Alex Ovechkin could learn.
“Hossa realized very early that if I play hard without the puck, I’ll get it back,” said Pearn. “Goals don’t come off the cycle now, it’s all transition. Ovechkin used to be that way when he first started and was scoring. You come back hard and, boom, you get the puck and you’re going the other way against people who aren’t ready.”
