Orpik's agent: "We still have time"

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review points out that the Penguins' UFAs - Brooks Orpik, Matt Niskanen, Jussi Jokinen and Deryk Engelland - are in a holding pattern with the team not having a general manager at the moment.{C}{C}

“We still have time,” Orpik's agent, Lewis Gross, told the Tribune-Review. “Brooks isn't a free agent until July. We're not worried about Pittsburgh not having a GM right now.”

Gross also said, “I would expect there to be heavy interest in him.”

The article noted he declined to indicate if returning to the Penguins was a high priority for Orpik, but did indicate a long-term deal (no length specified) was the preference.

Orpik provided a health update regarding his knee too.
