Wolf ready for Flames, Canadian market

The Calgary Herald introduces 6-foot-3, 225-pound winger David Wolf, signed to a one-year, two-way deal by the Flames on Monday.

Spoiler alert: The word 'truculent' was used.

“I’m a big guy,” Wolf said from Germany. “I’m a power forward. I like to hit guys. I like to get under people’s skin. But I can also score goals and make some plays. When asked to fight for a teammate, of course, I fight, too. I’m pretty much an all-around guy, who helps out.”

Of note for Flames fans was Wolf's excitement at his situation.

"To play in the Show for a Canadian team? That’s the best thing that can happen."

He also says he's ready to stick in Calgary out of camp.

“That’s why I come,” Wolf said. “I want to make the jump right away.
