Crosby: MacKinnon 'right there' for Calder
/Sidney Crosby wasn't able to play in Sunday night's Penguins-Avalanche tilt, but was asked about rookie sensation Nathan MacKinnon as it relates to the Calder Trophy race.
Crosby praised MacKinnon, but also didn't miss the opportunity to put in a good word for impressive Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta.
"[MacKinnon's] right there," Crosby said, via The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I have to make sure I keep in mind that my teammate has had a pretty good year, too. ... I think those two guys are at the top of the list, for sure."
