Fatigued Karlsson reflects on 'tough year'

A smiling Erik Karlsson considers himself 'a definite maybe' for taking part in the Worlds this spring, as relayed by The Ottawa Sun. He'll decide once the season is over.

It has been a little over a year since his Achilles surgery and he recently noted he is only in the "high 80s" or "almost 90" percent of top form.

"It's been long," said Karlsson. "It's been a tough year. I've battled a few things."

Also: "I've been tired most of the year and it's been a long year. At the end of the year, if my body feels good and I feel motivated to play some more hockey I will go and play because it's an honour to play."
