Oilers' Hall gunning for elite left wing status

The Edmonton Journal outlines how Oilers winger Taylor Hall has thrived offensively, potentially setting the stage for back-to-back campaigns with a Top 10 finish in NHL points.

“I’d like to think that’s where I should be,” Hall said. “I think I’ve set a game for myself where people know what to expect from me. They know what I’m going to produce and I like that. I’d like to be one of the top left wings in the league and one of the top producing ones. I’m right up there. That’s good for us.

“I still have a lot of places to improve, but it’s nice to have a season where I’ve done well.

He said his “main motivation right now is to go into the off season with confidence. You have the whole summer to think about how you’ve done in the past year and I think it makes the summer a lot easier when you’ve done well. As a team it’s the same thing.

“There have been some ups and downs individually and as a team, but I’m pretty proud of how we’ve stuck together and how I’ve played.”
