Hitchcock knows Hossa's true value to Blackhawks

The Chicago Tribune noted Blackhawks winger Marian Hossa came up with his first goal of the series Friday night against the St. Louis Blues, but opposing coach Ken Hitchcock, who is one of the more astute minds in the game today, pointed out where Hossa's true strength lies.

"Hossa's greatest attributes aren't his play with the puck, it's his play without the puck," Hitchcock said. "He puts more pressure on people without the puck than anybody in the league.

"He doesn't need to score to be a significant player."
