Seguin states case with 'actions and not words'

The maturation of Tyler Seguin with the Dallas Stars over the past year has been a glorious process to watch unfold, especially when paired with the success he and Jamie Benn have enjoyed as they get set to embark on a playoff journey together.

Seguin had to overcome much-publicized and overblown off-ice 'issues.'

“I wanted to prove a lot of people wrong, and I tried to do that with actions and not words,” Seguin said, via DallasNews.com.

The results have been noticeable and speak for themselves.

“I’ve matured my game, I’ve been given a different opportunity, I’m looked at differently here, so yeah, I guess I would say I am a different player,” Seguin said.

“It’s definitely something I’ve wanted, so it’s nice to be able to make it happen. Your confidence builds over time, and when you go out and do it, it really does allow you to think about what your potential is and how far you can go.”
