Jenner has 'scary' potential for Blue Jackets

'Future captain material', is how The Columbus Dispatch describes the praise being showered upon Blue Jackets forward Boone Jenner following an incredibly impressive rookie campaign.

“Boone’s 20?” forward Nathan Horton said. “You’d never know it. Just watching him, you’d think he was older. The way he plays … this is not an easy game. It’s actually kind of scary to think about what he’s going to be like in a few years. Like, he’s really strong already, and he’s still getting bigger and stronger. Scary.”

All you need to know about Jenner's work ethic and style of play can be summed up by defenseman James Wisniewski.

“Boone doesn’t understand why everybody on the other team hates him,” Wisniewski said. “If I didn’t know he grew up on a farm, I would still think he grew up on farm because that kid works from sunup to sundown. When other guys are losing it at him, he doesn’t show anything, and that just drives them crazier. To him, it’s like, ‘What, you don’t like to work like this?’ ”
