Twitter reaction: Red Wings retire Lidstrom's No. 5
/ Chris NicholsThursday night the Detroit Red Wings honoured retired defenceman Nicklas Lidstrom, who has a guaranteed ticket to the Hockey Hall of Fame upon eligibility next year.
The ceremony took place before the Red Wings hosted the Colorado Avalanche at Joe Louis Arena, which gave fans and the organization another chance to pay tribute to one of the greatest blueliners to ever skate in the NHL.
