Keith having stellar season for Blackhawks
/The Chicago Sun-Times details how Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville has been managing days off for his Olympians and that, in turn, has helped Duncan Keith ramp back up into Norris Trophy form after a bit of a lull coming out of the Olympic break.
Quenneville thinks Keith is playing the best hockey of his career.
“He’s been at a better level this year as far as both sides of the puck,” Quenneville said. “Game in, game out, he does everything we look for.”
The same article looks at how Keith is trying to be more patient with finding open shooting lanes, including his take on why they've been more crowded than they used to be.
“It’s tough,” Keith said. “The forwards do a good job of blocking shots. They have so much equipment on now that guys don’t really feel the shots as much as they used to. So they’re not as scared to get in the lane and block shots.”
