Stamkos not buying in to St. Louis trade rumours

You've heard the trade buzz surrounding Martin St. Louis and the New York Rangers in the past few days, but Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Steven Stamkos isn't buying it.

“They are rumors, but I don’t really know where that stuff comes from,’’ Stamkos said. “Obviously people can speculate about what goes on with him not being on the Olympic team, but I think the gold medal will heal a lot of things. I think that’s where people are jumping on that bandwagon, and New York is being thrown around because they have some guys they need to re-sign or get rid of, so people will say that Marty lives in New York (actually Greenwich, Conn.) and that’s why they make the connection. But I don’t think any of it’s true.’’
