Some highlights:

* "We think we've got lots of value here. Now if we can get value for them is the other question."

* "I've talked to probably seven or eight GMs and that would entail probably 10 to 12 players."

* Says Steve Ott has 'generated a large interest.' Notes Ott isn't the type of player he wants to get rid of, but UFA status and Buffalo being a non-playoff team changes things.

* Says re-signing Miller is "realistic, but not the route we're looking at right now. The route we're looking at is to get value for him. To put him in a position to succeed."

* "Players that treat you right and have played well and hard for over the years, you try to do what's best for them too... as long as it fits into what you're doing. By trading Ryan to a contender, a good team that is lacking only his position, I think we've certainly not done a disservice to him and we've helped the organization in our own right. So our goal right now on both sides is to pursue a proper trade."

* I don't think signing here is his first choice at his age."

"There has been interest from more than two teams, less than 10 teams. Are they all serious? I don't know that."
