Cox: David Booth likely to play Wednesday. William Nylander's injury not likely serious.

Friedman: Potentially a severe lower body injury for Dan Hamhuis.

Friedman: I don't believe Daniel Alfredsson's retirement will be announced in Detroit Monday. I think Senators are working to have in done in Ottawa.

Cox: Red Wings have money to spend at the deadline since they won't have an Alfredsson contract.

Cox: Horvat, Lazar, Duclair, Drouin likely for world juniors.

Cox: "The Edmonton Oilers, Elliotte, they are desperate to make a deal."

Friedman: "But the one thing other general managers are saying is that the Oilers are still not interested in moving any of their key, core players."
